How do I pay for an engine?
The most common way of paying is with a credit card. All of the suppliers accept the major credit cards but some do not accept American Express. You can also mail a cashiers check or do a wire transfer.

Who handles shipping and how long does it take?
Our suppliers have a lot of experience preparing engines and arranging the details. We fax your vehicle and delivery information to the supplier before you call them. All you have to do is give them your credit card number, ask any questions you have and they take care of all the rest.
It usually takes between 3 and 10 business days to get your engine depending where the engine is coming from. You can call and ask for the shipment tracking number and go online and track your engine.

Do the suppliers offer a warranty?
Almost all used and remanufactured engines come with a warranty offered by the suppliers. Our quote will list the details of the suppliers warranty when they are available.
We have partnered with one of the the largest engine extended warranty companies to offer a 3-year 36,000 mile warranty on any used engine you buy whether through us or another company. We charge $ 249.00 for this warranty. Once again, we think people like to save money.

How complete is the engine?
In general, a used engine will have everything between the valve covers and oil pan. It will not have an alternator, starter, ac compressor and any other parts that "hang off" the engine.
If your engine has a turbo, that may come with the engine or it may not. If you are looking for a certain part to be included, you should make sure you ask the supplier when you talk to them.

How do I know the engine mileage is correct?
Suppliers know that companies like CarFax make it easy to verify the last reported mileage for an engine so if they lied about the mileage, they would get caught. When you talk to the supplier you can ask them how they determined the mileage on the engine.

Do I need to know alot about engines to buy one?
Not at all. If you have read this far on this page, you know everything you need to know about buying an engine. We have experience working with people with all levels of engine knowledge.
We also share your information to the supplier, that way they know about your vehicle and engine type. All you have to do when you call is give your name and credit card number.
